Publication Policies and Ethics

At Sustainability Review, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. Our editorial policies align with internationally recognized guidelines to ensure the transparency, originality, and credibility of published research.

???? Responsibilities of the Editorial Team

  1. Manuscript Selection & Review

    • The Editor-in-Chief oversees the selection and publication of manuscripts, ensuring adherence to the journal’s scope and quality standards.
    • Manuscripts are evaluated based solely on their academic merit, without bias toward the author’s identity, affiliations, gender, or philosophical views.
  2. Editorial Integrity & Confidentiality

    • Editors must uphold confidentiality and share manuscript details only with authorized reviewers, editorial staff, and the publisher.
    • Unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts cannot be used for personal research without written consent from the author.
  3. Peer Review Process

    • The Editor-in-Chief appoints qualified reviewers, providing them with clear guidelines on evaluation criteria.
    • If required, editors may seek additional opinions from other editors or reviewers to ensure a fair assessment.
  4. Plagiarism & Ethical Standards

    • Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism (including AI-generated content beyond the journal’s acceptable limit) will be rejected immediately.
    • The final decision on acceptance or rejection lies with the editorial team based on originality, clarity, and scientific contribution.

???? Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

  1. Objective & Unbiased Evaluation

    • Reviewers must assess manuscripts impartially, based on their scientific quality, originality, and relevance.
    • Personal criticism of authors is strictly prohibited. Feedback should be constructive and clearly justified.
  2. Confidentiality & Ethical Conduct

    • Manuscripts under review must remain confidential. Reviewers should not disclose, discuss, or use unpublished content for personal research.
    • Any conflict of interest (personal, financial, or institutional) must be disclosed to the Editor-in-Chief before accepting a review assignment.
  3. Plagiarism & Ethical Violations

    • If a reviewer detects plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical violations, they must report it to the editor immediately.
    • Non-peer-reviewed sections should be clearly marked and reviewed accordingly.
  4. Timely & Professional Conduct

    • If a reviewer feels unqualified to assess a manuscript, they should promptly inform the editor.
    • Reviewers must complete their evaluations within the stipulated timeframe to maintain the efficiency of the publication process.

???? Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Originality & Ethical Conduct

    • Authors must ensure that their submission is original, free from plagiarism, and AI-generated content is below 10%.
    • Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is considered unethical and will result in rejection.
  2. Data Integrity & Transparency

    • Authors must accurately present research findings with appropriate data, references, and statistical details.
    • If required, authors should provide raw data for verification by the editorial team.
  3. Authorship & Acknowledgments

    • All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research.
    • Funding sources and potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission.
  4. Post-Publication Corrections

    • If errors are found post-publication, authors must promptly notify the journal and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions if necessary.
    • Authors should ensure that their published research remains accessible for at least ten years for reference by the academic community.

???? Ethical Violations & Consequences

  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or redundant publication will result in immediate rejection, retraction, or blacklisting from future submissions.
  • Any breach of ethical guidelines will be reported to the author’s institution and funding agencies.
